Search in Applications
Start here if you look for applications, their rating, comments, tagging or installation
In search pattern multiple words are allowed.
After submittion we perform fulltext search in application's name, summary, comments, tags, usages and assigned mimetypes.
Pattern has to match at least one of the areas. Results are sorted by amount of pattern occurence.
Search in Builds
Use this type of search to list and install packagebuilds, see their contant and dependencies.
In search pattern multiple words are allowed.
Found builds match all the words listed in pattern (AND).
For better effectivity and flexibility of the search some of the words can have prefix with special meaning.
Supporetd prefixes are:
file:, provides:, requires:, depends:, repo: and arch:.
If there are more words with same prefix, at least one of them has to match the builds in result set (OR).
Words without prefix are fulltext searched in name, license, and commiter attributes.
Words with prefix are searched for a full match and you have to use wildcards if you need more flexibility.
Be aware that patterns with wildcards at the beginning of the word will take more time to proceed.
Results are sorted by how they meet the criteria.
Examples:
Get all builds with /bin/bash in it:
file:/bin/bash
Get all noarch builds in all F-11 i386 repos (updates, testing, debug etc.):
repo:F-11-i386* arch:noarch
Get all python related builds in all F-11 i386 repos:
repo:F-11-i386* python
Builds dependant on most packages in F-11 Testing Updates repo for i386 architecture:
depends:* repo:F-11-i386-tu
